Chapter 13 Project Team Conditioning

Summary As a head football coach, I want to see how the players feel about conditioning and if they feel they are getting in shape. I will divide the team into their offensive position groups, and take 5 players from each position to ask.

Population The population is all the players on the football team.

Sample The sample are the five players picked from each position group. I broke them into quarterbacks, running backs, receivers, and offensive lineman which is four groups. So a total of 20 players will be surveyed.

The sample I took in unbiased and is a stratified random sample. I feel that it is unbiased because I first put them in groups, and then picked five random players to ask. I put them in position groups first because there is a different level of conditioning for those positioning groups.

Results

My results showed me that our team is in pretty good shape. By looking at the result we need to keep the offensive of line working throughout practice and push them during conditioning. Also, the receivers and running backs could use a little more but their close to being ready. In our offense, the quarterbacks are not running all that much, so them being out of shape is pretty hard.
