Helicoflex seal still leak tight although manufacturer specs gives a max temperature of 120ºC –Pressure tested at 1.5 bar, maximum displacement < 0.5 mm  Helicoflex seals in stock  2 final windows machined –now under metrological control –welding of a temporary cap will be done and the vacuum tests performed

Workshop Chamonix XV27-January-2006 DivonneMassimiliano Ferro-Luzzi 24 Transitions, supports and tooling  bellows UX85/3 - UX85/4: –stainless steel, –being manufactured, –expect delivery in the coming weeks  bellows UX85/2 - UX85/3: –aluminium, –design being modified to improve reliability  bellows UX85/1 - UX85/2: –aluminium, –two bellows connected by a tube with flanges on the extremities, –part of the first fabricated series presented leaks on the bellows convolutions –material used, manufacturing and cleaning processes are being improved to increase their reliability  Beam pipe supports: –all conceptually designed, –detailing being finished, –manufacture to start soon  Installation tooling: –conceptual design of the tooling for UX85/1+Velo window is being finished, –remaining will follow.  Beam pipe bake-out equipment: –conceptual design being done, –components will be ordered in the coming weeks  Spare Al beam pipes: –Manufacture started this week, –first beam pipe delivery is foreseen end of March, –remaining two in the following two months
