Joshua led the Israelites succeeded in Central Campaign (Joshua 6-8) Southern Campaign (Joshua 10) Northern Campaign (Joshua 11) 23So Joshua took the entire land, just as the LORD had directed Moses, and he gave it as an inheritance to Israel according to their tribal divisions. Then the land had rest from war. (Josh 11:23)

Joshua 12— 31 kings & the conquered land 1These are the kings of the land whom the Israelites had defeated and whose territory they took over east of the Jordan, from the Arnon Gorge to Mount Hermon, including all the eastern side of the Arabah: 2Sihon king of the Amorites, who reigned in Heshbon. He ruled from Aroer on the rim of the Arnon Gorge--from the middle of the gorge--to the Jabbok River, which is the border of the Ammonites. This included half of Gilead. 3He also ruled over the eastern Arabah from the Sea of Kinnereth to the Sea of the Arabah (the Salt Sea ), to Beth Jeshimoth, and then southward below the slopes of Pisgah. 4And the territory of Og king of Bashan, one of the last of the Rephaites, who reigned in Ashtaroth and Edrei. 5He ruled over Mount Hermon, Salecah, all of Bashan to the border of the people of Geshur and Maacah, and half of Gilead to the border of Sihon king of Heshbon. 6Moses, the servant of the LORD, and the Israelites conquered them. And Moses the servant of the LORD gave their land to the Reubenites, the Gadites and the half-tribe of Manasseh to be their possession.

Joshua 12— 31 kings & the conquered land . 7These are the kings of the land that Joshua and the Israelites conquered on the west side of the Jordan, from Baal Gad in the Valley of Lebanon to Mount Halak, which rises toward Seir (their lands Joshua gave as an inheritance to the tribes of Israel according to their tribal divisions-- 8the hill country, the western foothills, the Arabah, the mountain slopes, the desert and the Negev--the lands of the Hittites, Amorites, Canaanites, Perizzites, Hivites and Jebusites):

1When Joshua was old and well advanced in years, the LORD said to him, "You are very old, and there are still very large areas of land to be taken over. 2"This is the land that remains: all the regions of the Philistines and Geshurites: 3from the Shihor River on the east of Egypt to the territory of Ekron on the north, all of it counted as Canaanite (the territory of the five Philistine rulers in Gaza, Ashdod, Ashkelon, Gath and Ekron--that of the Avvites); 4from the south, all the land of the Canaanites, from Arah of the Sidonians as far as Aphek, the region of the Amorites,

5the area of the Gebalites ; and all Lebanon to the east, from Baal Gad below Mount Hermon to Lebo Hamath. 6"As for all the inhabitants of the mountain regions from Lebanon to Misrephoth Maim, that is, all the Sidonians, I myself will drive them out before the Israelites. Be sure to allocate this land to Israel for an inheritance, as I have instructed you, 7and divide it as an inheritance among the nine tribes and half of the tribe of Manasseh." (Josh 13:1-7)

Moses, Joshua conquest

The Land God Promised to Israel

16Who were they who heard and rebelled 16Who were they who heard and rebelled? Were they not all those Moses led out of Egypt? 17And with whom was he angry for forty years? Was it not with those who sinned, whose bodies fell in the desert? 18And to whom did God swear that they would never enter his rest if not to those who disobeyed ? 19So we see that they were not able to enter, because of their unbelief. (Heb 3:16-19)

It still remains that some will enter that rest, and those who formerly had the gospel preached to them did not go in, because of their disobedience. (Heb 4:6) For if Joshua had given them rest, God would not have spoken later about another day. 9There remains, then, a Sabbath-rest for the people of God; (Heb 4:8-9)

12 Tribes of Israel Modern Day Christian They are west of Jordan River. We have already entered Jesus’ kingdom of salvation. Joshua defeated the kings of Canaan (Jos12) Jesus overcame the prince of this world. (John 12:31) They have the title of the land. We have received the inheritance .

12 Tribes of Israel Modern Day Christian They need to continue in faith, rise up and claim the title. We need to work out our salvation with fear and trembling (Phil 2:12). Some inheritance is cleared of the giants and enemies, some are not. Some bad habits were removed at the time of the conversion, some habits are still waiting to be conquered by us with help from the Holy Spirit

I. The Journey of Salvation Justification—Past Sanctification—Present Glorification—Future

Every Journey is part of salvation For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith--and this not from yourselves, it is the gift of God(Eph 2:8) Therefore, my dear friends, as you have always obeyed--not only in my presence, but now much more in my absence--continue to work out your salvation with fear and trembling, (Phil 2:12) --Past --Present

Every Journey is part of salvation "Is not my house right with God? Has he not made with me an everlasting covenant, arranged and secured in every part? Will he not bring to fruition my salvation and grant me my every desire? (2Sam 23:5) Therefore I endure everything for the sake of the elect, that they too may obtain the salvation that is in Christ Jesus, with eternal glory. (2Tim 2:10) --Future --Future

II. We have already entered Jesus’ kingdom of salvation. 31Now is the time for judgment on this world; now the prince of this world will be driven out. (John 12:31)

III. We have received the inheritance of His kingdom. 13And you also were included in Christ when you heard the word of truth, the gospel of your salvation. Having believed, you were marked in him with a seal, the promised Holy Spirit, 14who is a deposit guaranteeing our inheritance until the redemption of those who are God's possession--to the praise of his glory. (Eph 1:13-14)

IV. Rise up and Claim the Title! 12Therefore, my dear friends, as you have always obeyed--not only in my presence, but now much more in my absence--continue to work out your salvation with fear and trembling, (Phil 2:12) Some area has giants, some doesn’t. Is it fair?

Conclusion The most obese countries are in America! Could you own a country? The opportunity presented in Southern California. Do we go to Syria? God, give me Taiwan!
