SAFTEY ON THE WEB  Practicing safety on the web is not only important but a responsibility among parents, children, students, and professionals.  In a world that is evolving around the use of the web, setting parental controls or limitations on web searches is a necessary tool for anyone who is “surfing the web”.  There are a few things you can do to ensure you are following safe rules while on the web: Make sure that the material you are researching or using for research is authentic and has a reliable source. Become an educated online citizen and do not use anything that is against the law. Check to ensure that material downloaded or installed is authentic and that it will not harm computer.

SAFETY ON THE COMPUTER  Safety on a computer is also a big responsibility in today’s society and can have negative effects if not taken seriously.  Keeping your computer safe refers to monitoring all people, materials, and searches that are used on computer to ensure no harm to computer.  There are several different tips to follow when practicing safe computer rules: Set parental controls for children or students Monitor children’s searches and messages to create a safe internet environment Never give out a password or personal information Never download or install material that seems suspicious or harmful to computer Always protect computer with internet security software or other practices.
