FFHM Morelia Home for Children UWO Pre-Med Society February 14-21, 2009

Foundation for His Ministry Non-profit, non-denominational organization Operates through donations from the US & Canada, and through the work of volunteers Provides homes & an education for children in the Baja peninsula and Mexican mainland Morelia home for children opened in 1998 and can house up to 30 children

Morelia Home for Children Founded by an orphan from the FFHM home in Baja Run by Pastor Abacub & his wife Lulu Each week accepts visiting groups of 17 members or less

Our Purpose Work Painting Cleaning Laundry Construction Cooking Assist with each meal Entertaining the kids!

A Typical Day

Information you should know: They are deeply rooted in their religion (Evangelical - Christian) Life is very slow-paced We are a team Their diet is very different, but the food is awesome It’s a work-based trip

Financial Information Based on previous years: Approx. $1000 Flight + Transportation to Airport: $ Mandatory Donation: $20/day x 7 days = $140 Spending money: anywhere from $20+

Important Dates Duration of trip: Saturday February 14 – Saturday February 21, 2009 Applications due: October 2, 2008 at the Pre-Med office, along with your resume Ticket & Donation money due: TBA – probably the second or third week of October

Other Commitments FUNDRAISING!!!! Each participant is expected to raise at least $100 In addition, there will be group events designed to raise extra money
