Bell Ringer 5 Minutes  Was the constitution revolutionary for the time in which it was created? Cite at least one piece of evidence to support your answer

Homework for this weekend due11/18/13  Political Cartoon on the Bill of Rights, see rubric for specific information. Due Monday November 18, 2013

Aim  Students will be able to analyze secondary resource on the formation of the American government and make a claim and support it using evidence from the text.

CHAMPS  C=conversation, we will be sharing out during group discussion, be RESPECTFUL do not speak over one another and be an active listener.  H=help, please raise your hand  A=activity, presenting and listening, complete rubric  M=movement, we are not.  P=participation means no heads down, no cell phones, we are reading and writing.

Introduction to the Constitution appendix “Don’t know much about history” (independent 25 minutes)  On your post it’s annotate the text, make your annotations, text to self, world, text and or questions  Reading independently means you are actively engaged in the text

Learning through Inquiry chart (small cooperative learning share out 13 minutes)  Take 20 minutes to work with your cooperative learning group and complete graphic organizer.
