Socioeconomic characteristic of IR-AM Source What do we mean here by Iranian- American ? How big is the Iranian-American Community? 338,000 +/- 10%

Educational Achievements With more than 27% of Iranian-Americans having a graduate degree or above, Iranian-Americans are ranked 1 st among 67 ethnic groups in the United States.

Gender distribution in Higher Degrees

Occupational Distribution

Per Capita Income Compared to the 12% of Americans with per capita incomes of $100,000 or more, 26% of Iranian- Americans make the same amount.

Household & Family Income The average family income for IR-AMs is 38% higher than that of the nation.

Owner-Occupied Units The percentage of IR-AMs living in homes valued more than $1 million is nearly 10 times that of the national average.

Occupied Housing Units The average value of an Iranian-American home is 2.5 times that of the average home nationally.
