What Day of the Year? The day of the dead is on November second each year. One this day, all the families gather around and honor their deseased love ones.Sometimes the neighborhood go as a group to the cemetory and honor them their but usually they do that in Mexico.

History: This is 3,000 year old ritual from the Aztec that fell on the ninth month of the Aztec Solar Calendar.The "Lady of the Dead" or goddess Mictecacihuatl died at birth, but believed it was her spirit who officiated the celebration.

Dia de los Muertos v.s Halloween In Mexico, on November they celebrate the Day of the Dead,while in the U.S they celebrate Halloween of the end of October.There are some similarites and differences.For example,they both have sugary treates and have invloved the death.Although Mexico does it to honor there love ones who are gone,U.S does halloween just for fun. Halloween has its origins in the ancient Celtic festival known as Samhain. Irish and Scottish immigrants carried versions of the tradition to North America in the nineteenth century.
