 Definition: culture is a system of beliefs, knowledge, institutions, customs/traditions, languages and skills shared by a group of people.  Through a society’s culture, individuals learn the relationships, structures, patterns and processes to be members of the society.

 All the different aspects that make up culture are known as the elements of culture  The elements of culture consist of: FOOD LANGUAGE CLOTHING TRADITIONS BELIEFS THE ARTS SOCIAL INSTITUTIONS

 Any nourishing substance that is eaten in order to sustain life, provide energy and promote growth.  Different cultures have unique food that they eat  What is a food you like that's from another culture?

 Any words or symbols used to communicate  Different cultures have unique languages that they share  Write down some other languages you have heard of.
