Mobile Sources Priorities and Recent Issues Diesel Diesel –Tracking Implementation of n-highway Heavy Duty Diesel Rule –Diesel Retrofit; WRAP “Boot Camp”; more demonstration projects being proposed and grant funding made available

Mobile Sources Priorities and Issues Mobile Sources Air Toxics Mobile Sources Air Toxics  EPA Proposed Rule to control MSATs issued 1. Reduces benzene in gasoline by 36% in Tightens standards for non-methane hydrocarbon emissions in new cars 3. Limits emissions from evaporation/permeation of portable gasoline containers  Most states see this as a needed federal control that will not affect local programs  Some states are looking at National Air Toxics Assessment data to understand the mobile sources component
