Ipodism Music is life Music is love Karen Walker

How did it start?  A young man, no older then 20. He had no home, no family, no work, nothing to look forward to. His name was Nehemiah but he became known as The Dancing Man.

How did it start?  One day when he was walking down the street he found what we call an iPod. He thought about selling it so he can make money and have something to eat that night. Instead he put it in his ear and the song playing moved him. So he kept it.

How did more people got involved?  Nehemiah would soon walk around dancing not knowing that he was really good. People began talking about him to others. And a man looking to spruce up his church found the dancing man and offered him a job. He taught him all about religion and then Nehemiah decided he wanted to create his own. His religion would help all the homeless men and women without a home.

Why did he named it ipodism?  The ipod he found on the street saved his life. He decided maybe it could save another persons life.

Who is accepted into ipodism?  All homeless people are excepted into ipodism.  All people who feel lost and need to find their way.  Anyone who wants to help other people. Or anyone who wants to join.

What are the rules?  You are not allowed to put anyone down for their past.  If someone is in need you will not deny them of this help.  You should admit when you are wrong and accept your faults.  We all should try to get along.  EVERYONE shall be accepted ad respected.

What is accepted and why?  Same sex marriage – we believe everyone has a right to be with who they want. If they won’t ever be with what they don’t want be it men or women then they should be allowed to be with what they do want.  Birth control – it will prevent teens from becoming young mothers and help people who do not want or are not ready for kids not have them.

What is accepted and why?  Sex before marriage – not everyone wants to get married and this should not mean that they can’t have intercourse with their partner. Sometimes things just happen and at the time people feel no control. We as a group understand that and accept it.

What is not accepted and why?  Drugs and alcohol – that is the reason why some of us became homeless.  Stealing – we should not steal because we want or we need. If we do we are taking away from someone else.  Killing – we should not bring harm to others because we do not want to bring harm towards ourselves. We should not take life away from anyone because everyone deserves to live.

Symbols  Our symbols are iPods or music players, a dancing man, or a music note.

Holidays  We celebrate the big holidays such as…  Christmas, thanksgiving, Halloween and new years  But we also celebrate….  The little holidays within many ethnic backgrounds because we are a diverse group with people of many races.  For example Martin Luther King day and Cinco day Mayo
