2) Faced Temptation

Matthew 4 Satan tempts Jesus 3 Times.

3) Human Emotions

Luke 10:21 “At that time Jesus, full of joy through the Holy Spirit, said…”

John 11:35 “Jesus wept.” His friend Lazarus dies…

Matthew 26:37 “… Jesus began to be sorrowful and troubled. Then he said to them, ‘my soul is overwhelmed with sorrow to the point of death. Stay here and keep watch with me.’” Prior to his Crucifixion

4) Physical Needs

Matthew 4:2 “After fasting forty days and forty nights, he was hungry.”

John 4:6 “Jesus, tired as he was from the journey, sat down by the well.”

Jesus is both… Fully Human & Fully God

Why is it so important that Jesus was fully human?

Hebrews 4:15 “For we do not have a [Savior] who is unable to sympathize with our weaknesses, but we have one who has been tempted in every way, just as we are– yet was without sin.”

Hebrews 4:16 “Let us then approach the throne of grace with confidence, so that we may receive mercy and find grace to help us in our time of need.”
