THE TOPIC OF THE PROJECT: “HELP THE EARTH!” THE AUTORS OF THE PROJECT: THE PUPILS OF THE 6 TH FORMS.

A HYPOTHESIS «WHEN WE WANT TO LIVE, WE MUST TAKE CARE OF THE ENVIRONMENT”.

AIMS AND TASKS: FIND OUT: 1. Reasons of the pollution of the environment in our village. 2. What kind of wastes we can see around the house and how to recycle them. 3. Why people throw out the waste. 4. What kind of ecological situation is there in the forest.

ECOLOGY Ecology is the science of how living things are related to their environment Many people are concerned about their ecology today. These are the names of the environmental problems of today: Littering – Засорение Air pollution, smog – Загрязнение воздуха, смог Water pollution – Загрязнение воды Overcrowding – Перенаселение Overpopulation – Перенаселённость Endangered species, animals which are almost extinct – Подверженные опасности разновидности, животные, которые почти вымерли. Destruction of natural resources – Разрушение (уничтожение) природных ресурсов

OUR RESEARCHES: 1. FIND OUT: what wastes do we have at home. 2. KNOW: what products do we become more wastes from. 3. OBSERVE: who throws out the waste in the streets and why. 4. DESCRIBE: where do people like to rest in the forest.

THE RESULTS OF THE OBSERVATION: As a result of our researches we have seen the next: there are many plastic bottles, polythene bags, aluminium cans and paper around the houses.

We think our village is dirty because people throw out the waste where they want. There are a lot of plastic bottles, paper packets and aluminium cans on the streets.

THE CONCLUSION:  1.Don`t cut the wild flowers.  2.Plant one oak tree a year.  3.Never throw or break glass bottles.  4.Reuse bags, paper, boxes and containers.  5.Select products with the least wasteful packaging.  6.Buy products that can be recycled.  7.Be creative-look for opportunities to reduce trash.

PICK UP LITTER! FACT: Litter is not only ugly, but it can be harmful to people and wildlife. Living things can get hurt on sharp cans or broken bottles. WHAT TO DO: Pick up litter you see as you are walking. Throw away trash. Recycle bottles and cans. Don`t throw away things which you can re- use.
