Technology Integration “Web-based activities have great potential to enhance learning, but they are time consuming to develop and implement and difficult to design in ways that have substantial, positive impact on students’ learning.” Roblyer and Doering, Integrating Technology into Teaching, p. 24

G OALS FOR T ECHNOLOGY I NTEGRATION To help the students to achieve a LoTI Level of 5 or 6. At a level 6, “ students generate new knowledge/assessment criteria and propel their own learning” From LoTI Level Decision Chart, Handout #5, Dr. Williamson Become fluent in classroom technology Comfortable enough to use it and try new things Competent enough to help scaffold students who are new to the technology or challenged by it

 I Respond  Basic Productivity Tools: power point, Smart board technology (board work, challenge games such as Jeopardy!, review applications  Goal to achieve a LoTI Level 6: Have the students produce a movie about our family engagement project in which they share the rationale and instructions for the project with other interested schools
