Geographic distribution Greek is spoken by about 13 million people, mainly in Greece, Albania And Cyprus. The language is also spoken by Greek emigrant communities in many countries inWestern Europe.

Characteristics The language shows conservative and innovative tendencies across the entire attestation.

Phonology Across its history, the syllabic structure of Greek has varied little. The main phonological aspects are replacement of the pitch.

Nouns and adjectives Pronouns show distinctions in person (1 st, 2 nd and 3 rd ) and gender and decline four in the modern language. Nouns, articles, and adjectives.

Language You must learn the Greek alphabet, it helps to pronouce sounds correctly. Short long vowels have rising tone, long vowels have rising and falling tone.

Nowadays many English words come to the Greek language.

It is easy to learn to read Greek as most letters and sounds exist in English. The most difficult Greek language twister: A duck but which duck a duck with ducklings. Mee a papeea ma poeea papeea. The longest word in the Greek language consists of 78 syllables And 171 letters and it’s a real nightmare to pronounce.
