APPRENTICE Entry-level worker Earn money while completing on- the-job training Must be sponsored by an employer and/or pass the specific union’s exam and interview JOURNEYMAN Experienced & skilled worker Must complete a specified number of On-The-Job training hours Complete a specified number of classroom training hours Typically takes 3-5 years depending upon the trade

San Francisco Resident (proof required) 18 years of age or over Authorized to work in the U.S. High School Diploma or GED Social Security Card & Valid Driver’s License Reading & math skills (test required) Ability to communicate effectively in English Successfully pass a drug test Complete pre-CBA Job Readiness Training (40 hours)
