 Cutting is rapidly becoming a dying art and there’s a critical shortage of good cutters (and pattern makers) in the industry.  Each fabric needs to be handled according to its weave and chemical composition to prevent static shrinkage and mismatched stripes.

 Use a pattern to cutout the material  Use electric knife or other cutting tool  Using a pattern, they cut out layers of fabric  Attention to details are critical because mistakes are costly Duties & Responsibilities

 Exceptional hand eye coordination  Dexterity  Exceptional hand eye coordination  Stand for long period of times  Need to know basic math  Computer skills are important for computer- controlled machine operators Ability & Personal Quality
