Do I Need LinkedIn? -Recruiters use it for locating passive candidates. -It’s the best way to maintain a network of business contacts. -A lot of jobs are only posted on LinkedIn. -It’s an easy way to stay plugged into industry trends.

Connecting & Sharing Groups are a great tool for networking and prospecting. Groups are created and run by users. Some are great, most are not. You can post content to groups and start discussions.

LinkedIn Company Pages You’re not the only one that needs to look good.

Does My Company Need LinkedIn? -You need a company page to post jobs or advertise on LinkedIn. -It gives you another outlet for company content. -People expect to find you there.

LinkedIn Company Pages Company pages are profiles for your business. Users can follow you to get all of your updates.

LinkedIn Company Pages You can post updates to your company page. The process is the same as posting to a personal profile. Get stats on views and engagement.

LinkedIn Company Pages Whoever creates the company page will be the default admin. You can add additional admins but the must be on LinkedIn and connected to the original admin. Owners and senior marketing people should be admins.

LinkedIn Company Pages Like a personal profile, use searchable keywords in your company description. Fill out the company specialties to improve the odds of showing up in search.

LinkedIn Advertising There are a lot of advertising options on LinkedIn. They work on a Pay-Per-Click (PPC) model. It’s easier than Google AdWords and reaches a B2B audience.

LinkedIn Advertising Sponsored Content is the most popular and effective ad option on LinkedIn. Target content based on role, geography, seniority and more.

LinkedIn Advertising Once an ad is clicked, best practice is to direct to a landing page to capture info. You need a good landing page, because each click that doesn’t convert is wasted money. This is not a good landing page.

LinkedIn Advertising If you have marketing automation software, once the form has been submitted the information can be captured by a CRM system.

LinkedIn Advertising LinkedIn provides metrics on clicks, social actions and spend. You can run multiple ads and campaigns simultaneously. Testing and refinement are key to success.
