Young Minds, Fast Times: The Twenty-First-Century Digital Learner: How tech-obsessed iKids would improve our schools. From edutopia.com More than half of all secondary school students are excited about using mobile devices to help them learn; only 15 percent of school leaders support this idea. The 21 st Century Model Kids interact in the library. Chatter is constant. Food is allowed. Reading is automatic. Information is shared not hoarded. The librarian is the most important person on campus and the one who holds the key to student success.

The Traditional Library is Dead In the old system, Circs mattered above all else, number of class visits and drop-ins indicated value, number of books purchased in the library demonstrated need for a library budget.
