Session 6 We are midway through! Can you update your participation on your name cards please? Remember it is for group presentation and individual volunteered responses in class

Agenda Play the QR code game

Do this activity with your table partners On a piece of paper for each person, write down the number 1 to 63. Move around the classroom and scan the QR code. Write down the name of the person that QR code describes. You have 15 minutes.

So if you were to do this in the preschool classroom, how would you have to do this?

Agenda Review trip to Odyssey, The Global Preschool Review early childhood technology in Singapore Discuss activity for self organised field trip. Homework for Wednesday

In your groups, discuss 5 learning points from your field trip about using technology in the classroom Make sure each of you write down and clearly understand the points.

The Envoy Now two persons from each table group moves to 2 different tables. Make sure the 3 people in the new table set are from different groups.

Now you need to tell everyone in your new group what you have discussed. Take note of what the rest say because you will need to report it when you ‘return’.

List the top 3 most salient points you encountered in your discussion.

If you were the principal of a preschool and was asked to implement a curriculum which used technology, how and what would you do?

Performing Arts Collaboration Now download any free piano playing app Eg. IPAD : Virtuoso Android : My Piano Teach each other how to play a ‘Twinkle twinkle little star’ Now think of how you can perform it as a group.

Self organised technology field trip Objectives 1.To explore how technology can be used in settings outside the classroom/ as part of a field trip 2.To integrate technology based activities with other aspects of curriculum learning

Prior to visit: Discuss with table mates potential activities that can be undertaken. Research on the sites and brainstorm on technology based ideas.

During visit : Implement the activity idea using the technology based tools eg. app, camera, sound recorder, video etc. OR if your site features technology tools for children to use, how to organise children to use it

After visit : Create a powerpoint no more than 10 slides which will be an idea guide for your Wheelock classmates.

Slide 1 -2 Provide some background information about the location. Include some pictures and features. Slide 3-4 Describe of the activity idea you are proposing. Include learning objectives. Explain how it integrates with another learning area eg. art/ math/literacy (If you are using technology tools available on site, show how it can be integrated as well) Slide Demonstrate how the activity is carried out using visuals. ( You can integrate slide 3 – 6 as one section if you prefer) Slide Provide an extension activity idea that can be carried out back in class. Slide Resource links/ References/ Handouts/ Other notes

this to me at by Sunday 13th September 10pm.(new date)

Keeping in contact During the 3 hours, we will communicate by Whatsapp with one rep from each group Volunteer to set up Whatsapp group please? I will pose 2 questions in those 3 hours for you to respond to

Homework For Wednesday please….

Visual Arts Collaboration Let’s play ‘Who are your mates?’ There will be 10 administrators Create a private meeting on Twiddla Write the link 4 times on 4 pieces of paper Draw a picture together and at the same time see if you can guess who your mates are
