QUESTIONABLE APPLICATION DESIGNS Bret Ikehara

WINDOWS 8 START MENU

 How can menu options be shown without sacrificing the “app” experience?  How can an interface accommodate various input methods?(i.e. mouse and keyboard versus touch)

 Is it better to tailor a menu for its host operating system?  Should the program be consistent across all platforms?

ANDROID LOCK SCREEN

 Do icons alone explain functionality?  Is the difference the lock states obvious?  How can we make the lock icon look less like a button that can be toggled?
