 The goals of this presentation are to: 1. Familiarize you with the Regional Data Initiatives (RDI) grant application submitted in partnership with your ISD 2. Make you aware of your district’s role as a member of the consortium 3. Assist you in securing District assurances (via MEGS), which are required for consortium funding

 Consortium of six ISDs / RESAs  Ionia, Kent (fiscal agent), Muskegon, Montcalm, Newaygo and Ottawa  Focus of the two-year RDI Grant:  Provide your teachers with real-time access to student data at the classroom level  Provide professional development in the areas of data analysis and differentiated instruction

 Grant funding will be calculated based on LEA participation, requiring LEA assurances in the MEGS system  The State is requiring each LEA to submit their assurance in MEGS by November 15, 2009  Check the consortium web site for the latest infoconsortium web site  Username: Password: Grant123

 Fully-funded access to an enhanced data warehouse and reporting system for two years  PD materials and training that will support local classroom achievement objectives  Participating districts will have an ISD/RESA voice at the consortium steering committee which will directly impact the MAISA PLC

 Incorporate RDI classroom tools and techniques into district educational practices  Participate in the consortium through FY by:  Documenting completion of four days of data-related PD over two years (all teachers and administrators)  Evaluating the impact of RDI on student achievement  Reporting results in REP and MEGS  Giving RDI permission to use district data for research
