Unit 3 Guidelines to change our self image CM206

1. Commit to personal growth. What might be included in the idea of personal growth?

2. gain and use knowledge to support personal growth. You have already started this process by coming back to school. But, specifically, we need to reflect on our self image and understand it before we can make any changes.

3. Set realistic and fair goals. What difference does it make if the goals are realistic? Who do we need to be fair to?

4. Seek contexts that support personal change. Why would this be important?

Who makes up your support group? How can they encourage your growth and change?

Unit 3 Project The project this week deals with self concept. The text gives you 4 guidelines for improving your self image beginning on p. 62.

You will discuss a time you unsuccessfully tried to make a change in yourself. Then, you will use the guidelines to discuss how you could try that again and be more successful. Lastly, you will discuss what you have learned from writing this project.

Be sure to quote the text at least once as support for your ideas.
