Overall Objectives Provide information and analyze recent trends in agricultural productivity, agricultural trade, livelihoods; Identify the role of and constraints faced by small scale farmers: rural livelihoods, productivity; Identify constraints to trade/trade facilitation within the context of a landlocked country; Identify and highlight role of main donors; To contribute to the finding of solutions through a coherent policy framework that will assist Zambia in meeting the objectives of Vision
Methods and Data Employ both primary and secondary data sources Productivity, exports and employment and agriculture output indicators generation will Review of secondary data sources – constraints, etc. Interviews with key stake holders – such as export promotion agency – ZDA, Trade facilitating agencies e.g., ZRA, Mt makulu, small scale farmers union etc 5
