Downloading and Loading test scores in eSIS Spring FY11 EMIS Meeting May 10, 2011

Educator’s Workroom Enter Username & Password The username and password should have been sent from the vendor to your Testing Coordinator or appropriate personnel. Once entered, click on ‘Log In’. Announcements section contains current reporting schedule for downloadable testing result data files and date data is available.

Educator’s Workroom Choose the test you wish to download Click on the appropriate icon.

Educator’s Workroom Choose “Fixed Width (EMIS)” which defines the format of the data file that will be downloaded to your computer. eSIS only accepts a ‘fixed width’ file.

Educator’s Workroom Save the file to your computer. We suggest that you save the file in an easily accessible location on your computer such as a folder containing testing results. Consider giving your file a unique name such as OAT_SPRING_FY10.TXT so you can quickly identify it. Once saved, you now have the file ready to load into eSIS.

eSIS Select your district and lock in. Role: Standardized Test Import Path: Standardized Testing Import > eSMOC Testload and Backout Program: ESMTEL01

eSIS Click on the ‘Browse’ buttom to browse for the file you just downloaded from the Success site. Select the file and click ‘Open’ in the pop-up box. Your file path and filename will then be placed in the ‘Filename’ box.

eSIS Select the correct test type you plan to load. Select OAT (Achievement) for both regular OAT results and OAT-SWD. Select OGT for both regular OGT results and OGT-SWD.

eSIS 1.Click on the Load File 2.The file will loaded/validated and you will see in the Status box the number of records loaded and the number of errors. 3.Click on the Printer Icon to show a report of what your errors are. 4.Click on the Edit Load Errors Button if there are errors to fix the errors that are on the report

Edit Load errors 1.Click Update from SSID 2.If pupil number then appears then click the save button. ** You MUST click the save button for the record to be loaded into eSIS. 3.Use Scroll bar to go to next student

Student successfully loaded. 1 - When the student record is successfully uploaded then you will see the green bar at the bottom of the screen indicating that the record was loaded into eSIS. 2 - All information at the top is filled in correctly. 3 - You will then move on to the next student using the scroll bar at the right
