The Scripture has a lot to say about friends (good & bad) as well as the consequences of choosing them.

A man of many friends comes to ruin, but there is a friend who sticks closer than a brother. Prov 18:24

Wealth adds many friends, but a poor man is separated from his friend. Prov 19:4

Faithful are the wounds of a friend, but deceitful are the kisses of an enemy. Prov 27:6

Two are better than one because they have a good return for their labor. For if either of them falls, the one will lift up his companion. Have we trials & temptations? Is there trouble anywhere? We should never be discouraged, take it to the Lord in prayer. Can we find a friend so faithful, who will all our sorrows share? Jesus knows our every weakness, take it to the Lord in prayer. “What A Friend We Have In Jesus”

Are we weak & heavy laden? Cumbered with a load of care? Precious Savior, still our refuge, take it to the Lord in prayer. Do thy friends despise, forsake thee? Take it to the Lord in prayer; In His arms He’ll take & shield thee, thou wilt find a solace there. “What A Friend We Have In Jesus”
