Printing from Photoshop Printing Images in Photoshop involves a couple of unique steps unlike any other program.
Image Size vs. Document Size The key is in the SIZE of the IMAGE and the SIZE of the DOCUMENT. –You want the two to MATCH in MOST cases. Also key is in recognizing what the default is or has been changed to in your print dialog box. Always PRINT with Preview when printing in Photoshop. –This is the defautl action (Ctrl + P) with CS3.
Scale to Fit Media Be sure to note the PAPER orientation and the IMAGE size. Left icon is Vertical (like a Magazine Cover) Right icon is Horizontal, like your CD Cover layout.
If you choose “Scale to Fit Media and the wrong ORIENTA TION…you r image will be SHRUNK down.
If you are sure the print preview is correct…load “Special Paper” and go ahead and click print (not Done). If it’s wrong…be prepared to cough up a quarter.
