Presentation transcript:

“Please, Mom, can I have a pet?” I really want a pet.

The pet shop lady says, “Goldfish are good” I say, “Really? I don’t know!”

Mom asks, “What pet do you like?” I say, “I like a lion.”

Granny says, “Lions like to eat meat.” I think, uh-oh…

“Sheep are better and they only eat grass,”

Grandpa says, “Sheep like to follow you around. They are copycats.” I hate copycats!

“Wolves are better. They have good sense of smell, so we will never get lost.”

Dad says, “Wolves like to howl. I don’t like noise.”

“Octopuses are better. They’re quiet and we can go swimming together.”

Mom says, “But, they will make many footprints on the floor.”

“Snakes are better.” “They don’t have legs and they are quiet.”

“Snakes like to squeeze you and then you cannot breathe.” Dad says,

Lions like to eat meat; sheep like to follow you around; wolves like to howl; octopuses will leave footprints on the floor; snakes like to squeeze you!” They are not good pets.

But I really want a pet. What should I get?

I will find out soon.
