 It was first recognized by Jews.  It was first found in the USA in 1803 by a doctor in Philadelphia.  Hemophilia first got its name at the University of Zurich in  The gene was passed by Queen Victoria, Queen of England, in 1837.

 Most can’t play contact sports, because injury would be very overwhelming.  Many doctors will recommend protective gear. › Knee pads, elbow pads and a helmet  Dental care is very important to prevent bleeding in the gums.

 Hemophilia is heretic and mainly affects males.  1 in every 10,000 male births and 1 in about 20,000 female births  It’s caused by a problem with protein in blood.

 85% of people with Hemophilia have type A  Hemophilia is know as “The Royal Disease” because the children of Queen Victoria spread this disease through marriage.  It is also spelled haemophilia.
