Good Academic Standing:  Humboldt GPA above 2.0  Cumulative GPA above a 2.0 Academic Probation:  If any GPA falls below 2.0

 Freshman (<30 units): below 1.50  Sophomores ( units): below 1.7  Juniors ( units): below 1.85  Seniors: (above 90 units): below 1.95

 24 units count towards degree  Can NOT be major courses  Doesn’t affect GPA  Only one optional Credit/No Credit course per semester

 A………..4  A-……….3.7  B+……  B………..3.0  B-……….2.7  C+………2.3  C………..2.0  C-……….1.7  D+……….1.3  D………..1.0  F……… Humboldt uses a +/- grading system

 May repeat up to 16 semester-units with previous grade replaced  May repeat up to an additional 12 semester- units with grades averaged  A course can only be repeated twice (taken a total of 3 times) at HSU, after that the course must be taken elsewhere.

 Take (and pass) the GWPE (Graduate Writing Proficiency Examination)  Have at least a 2.0 GPA  Graduation evaluation  At least 120 units  Degree check  Need to apply for graduation at least 3 semesters beforehand
