Climate Change Public Bodies Duties Required Reporting “Burden or Opportunity”

Agreed there is a need to improve the level of consistency of reporting, have recognized standards and clarity about what is expected, including common indicators/suite of performance measures and appropriate data verification, to put the public sector on a path to a potential future required reporting regime. Agreed that current mechanisms are not delivering on targets. Data capture and reporting needs to be tackled, any required regime would need to be proportionate and focus action on big ticket items that lead to emission reductions and cost avoidance. PSCLF Strategic Views
