What is the Internet? The internet is a great place to find information, share your thoughts, and have fun! It can help you to learn lots of new things, too! The internet is a way to use our computers to help us learn, but we need to be sure we are being safe when we search for information on the internet. Home

Being Careful on the Net Home This means your address, phone number, school, or passwords. Sometimes people pretend to be someone they aren’t. You need to be very careful when talking to someone you don’t know online. If your parents agree to you meeting someone, always take an adult with you. Click to see what you know! Click to see what you know!

Be Careful Where You Click! Another part of Internet Safety is knowing what you are clicking. You might come across a cool advertisement for something you love. This could be a trick! That link might take you to something inappropriate or might even hurt your computer. If you are not positive about where a link will take you, don’t click on it! Home

True or False: I should always use the same kinds of words online that I would if I were talking to my teacher at school. False True Home
