Advanced Placement (AP) are college-level courses offered in high school with content and rigor at a University equivalence. AP Courses are year long course in high school versus a semester course in college. End of course AP exams measure how well students have mastered college-level coursework and are rated 0-5. Students who do well on AP exams can earn credit and/or placement into advanced courses in college.
College Board currently offers more than 30 AP exams across multiple subject areas - $92 per exam. All Exams are available to Enochs students; however, we are limited to 14 courses taught (a 15 th course coming fall 2016). Full list of exams are on the College Board website. The AP Examinations are administered each year in May. Registration usually begins in February and ends in mid-March. There is a late fee for late orders.
AP courses are challenging but it’s work that pays off. Students learn valuable critical thinking skills that can be applied in various subjects and real-life situations. Students develop confidence, and learn the study habits and time management skills essential for success in college.
