Saving Our World $100,000 Grant Project

What if a grant of one-hundred thousand dollars was available to benefit an environmental or community issue? What would be the best way to utilize this money?

Select a topic for your group. Research the topic and determine a possible solution to a current issue. Possible topics: endangered animals, water quality, alternate energy sources, land development, WNC Nature Center …

The following questions should be addressed: ► Why is your topic an important issue? ► Who or what is affected by this issue? ► Who is responsible? ► What background information is necessary to understand this topic?

Questions to Answer ► What were the causes? ► What were the prior causes of these causes? ► What are the effects? ► What are the further effects of these effects? ► Is this an issue outside of Western North Carolina?

This grant will be awarded on the following criteria:
