THE ENDOCRINE SYSTEM Collin Duncan Ms. McBryde 6 th period

INTRODUCTION  The endocrine system is one of many systems of the body.  It commutates, controls and coordinates the body.  Its helps maintain the following: 1.Growth and development 2.Body energy levels 3.Responses to the surrounding's

FUNCTIONS  Is to secrete chemicals (hormones) through out your body.  To send messages to your cells to tell them what to do.

MAJOR ORGANS  The major organs of the endocrine system include: lungs liver brain heart Kidneys

INTERACTS WITH  The nervous system because when your nerves feel or since something the endocrine system will secrete hormones into your blood stream.  It also interacts with the circulatory system because if you don’t have blood then how are you going to get hormones all around your body.

MAJOR GLANDS  pituitary gland  pineal gland  adrenal glands
