Rock Hill Schools Zoning
Segments make up the “building blocks” for creating the school zones for ES, MS and HS. In the fall of 2006 a committee was created to review the then current 182 segments. Criteria for segments were very simple, keep neighborhoods intact, use major roads and railroads as border lines when possible, keep student population below 50 if possible and ease of transportation. When the committee completed the task the segment count was 220. The segments have not been reviewed since 2006 with very minor alterations since.
Currently we have 11 schools that have a satellite (separate attendance zone) Elementary Ebenezer Ebinport Finley Road Mt. Gallant Old Pointe Rosewood York Road
