FAITH HOPE & LOVE After entering Eastern Illinois University, I was quickly introduced to Greek life and joined the sorority Sigma Sigma Sigma. It was probably one of the best decisions I made in my college career because of everything it has given me. I became involved right away and was Nominated for the Most Outstanding New Initiate Award given during Greek Week and won the same Award through Sigma during our Founder’s Day Celebration. Sophomore year, I was appointed to Secretary and was Nominated for the Homecoming Court. In November of 2004, I was elected as the Vice President and currently am also holding the cabinet position Awards.

SISTERHOOD Left: The fall pledge class of Together we were initiated into Sigma Sigma Sigma on November 7 th, 2003 Right: The Alpha Psi Chapter of Sigma Sigma Sigma. This picture was taken in November of 2004 for our holiday greetings card.

Each Spring the Greek Community participates in Greek Week. The events last only a week, but the preparation starts early in the semester. The entire Chapter participates in Greek Sing. Rumored to be the biggest Amateur competition in the Midwest, each chapter chooses a theme and correlating songs for competition. My Sorority won 3 years in a row from , but unfortunately received 4 th place last year with the theme Madrigals. Along with Greek Sing, we also participate in other events such as Airband and Tugs. I am a dedicated member of the Tugs team. We practice hard and often in preparation for a tug of war competition against other sororities across Eastern’s pond. Last year, we won the first tug in 2.5 minutes, lost the second tug in a record breaking 6.5 minutes and won the third tug in 2.5 minutes for a 3 rd place finish.

Well in the end, we can all call a friend, well that's something that I know as true In a thousand years, and a thousand tears, I'll come finding my original crew Cause to me throughout eternity there is somewhere we are welcome to go I said it's something free that means a lot to me, when I'm with my friends I feel home… - O.A.R “I feel Home” My “original crew” from high school split up across the Midwest to start our college careers, but we unlike most, we always come back to each other. Coming home is a happy reunion and we don’t take for granted the short amount of time we have together during breaks. Although, we’re all growing individually, we will never stray too far away from home… This is a few of my friends from home playing around before we left for college

FAVORITE QUOTES “ When the road gets dark and you can no longer see, just let my love throw a spark and have a little faith in me... and when the tears you cry are all you can believe, just give these loving arms a try and have a little faith in me…” “ A window breaks down a long dark street and a siren wails in the night, but I'm alright 'cause I have you here with me and I can almost see through the dark there's light..” “ Never let the fear of striking out, keep you from playing the game.”

My Future Career I am currently perusing a career as an Elementary Education Teacher. Working towards my Bachelors degree in Education at Eastern Illinois University, I am planning on concentrating on Social Science with a Middle School Option. Ideally, I want to return back to my hometown to teach in the school district that I attended and I’d love to eventually enter into coaching at the high school level for swimming.

“You know you’re truly lucky when you catch yourself looking around and you realize it can’t get any better than this…” Me and my best friend, Taylor. This picture was taken at our senior prom We met in 7 th grade and have been friends since. Through the years and especially through college, our friendship continues to grow.
