YOUTH PARTICIPATION presentation of the project „Step Towards Democracy” preperation meetings main thougths about the energy topic ideas for future cooperation

Project information European Commission programme „Youth in Action” from 01/03/2008 to 01/06/2009 organized by the Secretary of Youth Affaires of Western-Pomerania aims of the project: – to support youth in decission making process – to improve the dialogue between youth and politicians – to find common targets and build networks first meeting in March 2008 in Szczecin

Preparation meeting discussions and workshops concerning: – regional youth policy – producing energy – saving energy – renewable energy – principles of international conferences (planing, taking responsability for the project, etc.)

Energy better cooperation between the regions, exchange of information --- research centre in cooperation with universities importance of renewable energy and reduction of CO 2 emission, because we are responsible for our climate environmentalism decentralization of energy to reduce influence of big energy companies media campaign “Saving energy” --- public information, trainings, education establishing of new faculties at the universities in the aim to teach about using of alternative energy methods (professionalists) development of international relations in the area of investments meetings with local deputies, politicians and young people to talk about their regional/national problems actions for showing the importance of alternative energy forcing new law regulations encouragement of Baltic region citizens to save energy in general and to use for example personal power generating equipment

Cooperation concrete numbers, action plans --- evaluation and observation of the work permanent ACTIVE PARTICIPATION of youth in Forum`s meetings better cooperation between youth and politicians on a local level exchange of experiences concerning youth policy in the Baltic region through common projects, study visits etc. youth issues in each forum`s resolution young people have a strong will to change and are able to see the possibilities, and not only the problems. Therefore we say: politicians should work more with youth and take care of our creativity and strong will; youth around the world should act together
