‘The IB genie’

‘The IB genie’ is a deduction puzzle. Your task is to determine: which friend wished on which day, and for what? Hint: Sunday comes first Pay attention to your process, in order to answer the following questions: As you were solving the puzzle, how did you know if you made a mistake? How did you know that you solved the puzzle successsfully?

Follow up questions What is the name given to the approach of testing many lamps and reaching a general conclusions about them?
