This will result in a consequence determined by the teacher. (Examples: removal from group, time out, miss 5 min. recess, etc.) Red Parent Contact… Students who move to red will miss some recess and complete a “Behavior Reflection” to be signed by parents.

Principal’s Proud Club In order to be eligible for this award: A student may not get more than 2 yellow cards in a weeks time. They cannot have red, yellow, orange clip changes. 4 tardy occurrences and/or early dismissals will automatically eliminate a student. After Winter Break it will change to 1 yellow clip in a week.

Parent Connection is our Online Grade System * Go to our Northampton Website and click the link on the left side to access Parent Connection. **Read Instructions prior to creating your account. ***You will need your students Klein ID #, Date of Birth, Social Security #, and Lunch Number to create the account Grading Guidelines for Kindergarten E+= Advanced E=Exceeding Expectations S+= Meets expectations S=approaching Expectations N=Below Expectations (experiencing some difficulties) U= Experiencing difficulties There will be at least one grade taken in each subject area per week. Grades will be based on pencil /paper tasks, teacher observation, and one on one conferencing with the teacher.

Readers For Home READING PRACTICE Each week your child will bring home a paper book that we have read at school. Your child should be able to tell you what the book is about and "read" it to you even if they aren't looking at the words. Please take the time to practice these books each week and revisit them often. You can model reading by pointing to the words and discussing how the pictures help readers gather information about the book. Keep the books in a gallon Ziploc bag for easy storage.

Things That Need to be Returned Daily Folders need to be returned each day. On Wednesday a parent signature is needed next to the conduct grade. Homework Notebooks (red notebook) need to be completed and returned by Fridays. Library Books are due no later than Friday morning. Book Bags and Response Journals will begin by the second 9 weeks and will go home on Thursdays and need to be returned by the following Thursday.

Pam Sangl is the easiest way to contact is my web page address. I will do my best to send a weekly Newsletter via and post it under the newsletters section on my web page. **Parent Conference Day is Monday, November 6th. Please sign up next to a time. If you aren’t able to come, write your name and number down on the phone conference sheet and I will call you to talk about your child’s progress.

If your child is going to be absent, please call the attendance office at that morning. Send in a doctor’s note and/or parent letter when they return. A child may earn a Perfect Attendance certificate if they have been at school everyday during a nine weeks period. If a student has four or more tardies and/or early dismissals in a nine week period, their conduct grade will be lowered with the exception of having a doctor’s note. Therefore, they will be not be in the running for the Golden Horseshoe Award or the Principal’s Proud Club for that nine week period. Also, a student will be asked to serve detention on the eighth tardy. Please help your child to arrive on time to school.

Star Of The Week posters/PowerPoint's when assigned will need to be turned in on Mondays. Your student needs to complete all of their homework each week. When class work or tests have poor grades please go over them with your child. Send a note to school in the morning if there is going to be a change in their transportation. If I do not get a note, or a message over the speaker by the end of the day they will go home the regular way. Make sure you have a plan set up for rainy days. (backdoor walkers) Inform your child’s teacher of any major changes that may affect your child’s behavior at school. Ways To Have A Successful Year
