The process of growing and harvesting hay is very natural: Timothy hay goes dormant (stops growing) in the winter months, just like your grass and garden The hay starts to grow in the spring months of April, May, June, and July While the hay is growing American Pet tends the fields with care, adding water and nutrients as needed The cut the hay and let it dry naturally in the field for several days The hay is fluffed with rakes Let dry another two days The hay is baled in compressed blocks Then picked up and stored until it is bagged up for your pet

Growing

Alfalfa hay growing in the beautiful Diamond Mountains. Hay starts to grow in the spring April and May. It gets irrigated (watered) from wells in the ground through large sprinklers called “Pivots” seen in the background.
