Center of Mass Balance

Center of Mass The center of mass (labeled c.g. in the picture next to this) is the point of balance where all the weight is concentrated. It is located at the objects average position of weight

Center of Mass Binary Stars have a center of mass between the stars. They orbit the center of mass as they go around. Sometimes the center of mass is inside one of the stars, like for the Earth-Sun system
