The Charlotte Knights

Mission of the Knights The mission of the Knights is to stay committed to promoting America's national pastime while creating a safe, friendly, exciting environment for fans, sponsors and players to enjoy the game. A hard-working, innovative staff continually strives for excellence to produce an enjoyable experience. We respect - and love - the game. We, the Charlotte Knights, work to make the community a better place through baseball.

About the Knights The Charlotte Knights are a minor league baseball team representing Charlotte, North Carolina. The team, plays in the International League, which is the Triple-A partner of the Chicago White Sox of the American League.

About the Knights Cont. The Knights played in Knights Stadium, located in Fort Mills, through the 2013 season, but are to move to BB&T Stadium in uptown Charlotte in The Charlotte Knights are located in Charlotte, North Carolina which is the largest city in North Carolina and 17th largest in the United States. Charlottes Metropolitan area has a population of 2,296,569 people

Target Market The target market for the Charlotte Knights is middle class families within the Charlotte metropolitan area business employees and college students of both genders. NOTE: Families within the area are more reliable to become common consumers of the services of the Charlotte Knights

Goals Goals The goals for our organization are to offer the best experience to our customers by creating one of the best atmospheres in all of minor league baseball. We want to build a program that consists of a loyal fan base year in and year out. We strive to offer entertainment and fun that will leave our customers with valuable experience and create and emotional connection with our organization.

Goals cont. The Charlotte Knights want to compete strongly with local competitors and be considered one of the top if not best sports venue in the Charlotte Area.

Strategies & Tactics Strategy: Use place to increase awareness and interest. Tactic: Market on billboards etc. about the location of the new stadium and all its amenities. Place flyers and schedules inside local restaurants.

Strategies & Tactics Strategy: Increase ticket sales and fill up the ballpark throughout the season. Tactic: We plan to increase ticket sales and pack the ballpark throughout the season by implementing pricing tactics. We will offer discounts for college students, ticket packages for families as well as businesses.

Strategies & Tactics Strategy: Increase awareness, recognition, and loyalty within the region through the Public Relations Department. Tactic: The Public Relations Department will be responsible for creating events outside of games to enhance awareness and loyalty to the organization.
