Born in New Zealand, December 1st 1966 Moved to Papua New Guinea 11 years later then back again 7 years later. Then 6 years later he moved to San Francisco. Adamson was going to be an architect until he missed enrolment because of a car accident. He was recruited by Pacific Data Images where he was a technical director of Toys. He was also the visual effects supervisor of Batman Forever, Time to Kill and Batman and Robin. He then went on to direct Shrek in 2001, making $500 million in the Box Office. He then went on to make another Shrek movie and two Narnia films.
