4 active onshore seismic acquisition companies 1.5 million man-hours in 2012 7 LTI’s 25 recordable incidents 92 reportable incidents TRCF = 15.9 LTI’s: 3 x falls/trips, 2 x manual handling, 2 x low speed impact MTC’s: 6 x manual handling, 6 x falls/trips, 4 x heat stress, 4 x cuts
Trend going wrong way Cooper Basin has been a poor performing area Number of FAC’s increased Aug 12 through to Feb 13 Most incidents are direct contractors (not sub-contractors) Most incidents in crew < 2yrs experience – lot of new hires due to activity increase Line crew / drivers have most incidents Good focus on driving reducing incidents in this area More people hurt in camp than in workshop or in transit Environmental - minor oil spills, fire (started by machinery), Non-authorised clearing, earth disturbance
