Why Do I Need To Know This? Using integers to represent situations is important because it allows you to use integers to symbolize real world events and situations.

Vocabulary Integers are whole numbers and their opposites. Negative integers are integers less than zero. Positive integers are integers greater than zero. What is an example of an integer? Where might you find integers in the real world?
