Chester Himes got married in He was famous for writing novels and poems. He got a divorce and got married again. He was the son of a teacher. He wrote two volumes of an autobiography. His house burned down in The fire killed his mother.

Chester Himes last book was Yesterday Will Make You Cry. He died in 1984 in Spain. After he died all his books were copied and sold for millions.
