Actual Status on Ministry Level Ministry recognizes the crucial problem of sustainable financing and is willing to reflect about structural and institutional solutions At the moment the favorized option to establish a national trust fund (GO and private enterprises) with global outreach cannot be realized, but has to be actively followed on political and technical level BMZ is in favor of supporting a reduced number of local trust funds under active participation of sponsors (strategic partnerships) A pre-feasibility in Präparation, synthesizing risks and advantages of off-shore funds on different levels (national, EU, Global) A pre-selection has to be made concerning the implementation of a strategic partnership pilot action for a Protected area/protected area system, including buffer zone development
