A patentable design. First Production Document Provisional U.S. Patent Draft 12/25/2015Copyright(c)2012 by Dale G. Basgall

The category (class) of statutory subject matter: “Article of Manufacture” This is a new and useful invention. Title: PORTABLE ON DEMAND DC POWERED WATER HEATER Abstract: A portable DC powered water heater and water sterilizer that is comprised of elements compacting for light transportation in a small package that when assembled produce sterile water quickly by the usage of a common 12vdc (volts dc) battery supply found in most all automobiles, trucks, and other mobile heavy equipment. This could be a valuable device for a camper or worker who would need to shower in the field and get hot water for beverage without the need to find wood to build a fire. The device can produce hot boiling water quickly and is available in a kit form also. The present invention provides a health benefit by sterilizing water in geographically diversified areas. 12/25/2015Copyright(c)2012 by Dale G. Basgall

Water Heater Kit ! One of the first issues we had to deal with is attempting to patent a hypothetical device anticipated to exist. In short a LENR device that has never existed and is highly disputable until it is clearly understood. LENR is not a useable technology as of today and to wait for some fuel to be developed and proven safe could put many out of the market today. Actually to get down to technicalities what everyone has exhibited and talked about is just a simple water heater anyway. 12/25/2015Copyright(c)2012 by Dale G. Basgall

Heat Exchanging There are five major components to the “article of manufacture” Dolphin 5. Blue designates cool water and the red is designating heated water. Four outer cooling tubes have been removed to view the inner cooling tubes and how the elements are affixed together in a stationary solid form resulting the assembled product “Dolphin 5”. A ½” pipe inner tube blue and a ¾” pipe inner tube red attach threadably element one (HE) center, left element (IM), and right element (EM) and fluid flow is directional. 12/25/2015Copyright(c)2012 by Dale G. Basgalll

Outer cooling tubes. A few dimensions added for sizing clarity of elements. All pieces of assembled product Dolphin 5 will fit in a small box 3”thick x 12”long x 8” wide. In fact a box no bigger than the footprint of a regular printer paper. 12/25/2015Copyright(c)2012 by Dale G. Basgalll

57 Holes 5”diameter Here is the HE-OCT-557 Block with glow plugs inserted. OCT stands for octagon and the first 5 indicates the shape fits within a 5” diameter circle and the 57 stands for the number of holes in this particular model of HE block. 12/25/2015Copyright(c)2012 by Dale G. Basgalll

Hole Designation HE This is the internal map for the HE Hole designations. 12/25/2015Copyright(c)2012 by Dale G. Basgalll

Cutting costs ! Cutting costs is as simple as taking a few holes out and then using a water jet to quickly separate the one unit into 4 singular unit heat exchangers. They become Singular units with 11 holes (S-11). 12/25/2015Copyright(c)2012 by Dale G. Basgalll

S-11 Single chamber segment, the economy model. Here is the prime example claim element. One claim written the correct way will allow us to create a product with higher quality for less than anyone else. This is key and why I need to file the provisional patent paperwork on an article of manufacture as soon as possible. 12/25/2015Copyright(c)2012 by Dale G. Basgalll

S-11 internal map. Use the table guide for the colors that indicate function. Provided in an earlier slide. 12/25/2015Copyright(c)2012 by Dale G. Basgalll

Lui Comments Add embedded copper “rods” (sheets in 3D) to direct heat transfer to sinks. Secondary benefit is it also helps alignment when screwing two halves together. The diesel type glow plug idea heating up the cores may need more tweaking. Think about your temperature gradients in warmup-to ignition then from ignition to steady state, then steady state to heating water phase. When we talk about COP that is the heat in/out. But the heat in is the heat getting to the core. Is the fuel chamber a hole or a chamber i.e. does a rod get inserted or is it placed inside the octagon before closing? Can the glow plugs be shorter? 12/25/2015Copyright(c)2012 by Dale G. Basgalll
