Do some research… What else was difficult to find during the 2 nd World War? What foods were allowed each week as part of rationing?

How are these evacuee children feeling? Les enfants sont contents? Les enfants sont tristes?

Clothes! Boys wore short trousers, socks, sandals or boots, a shirt and tie, worn with a v-neck jumper and a jacket or school blazer. The whole outfit was finished off with a cap, usually from school or the Cubs. Girls wore cotton dresses in summer and gym- slips and blouses in winter were worn with socks, sandals or shoes, topped with cardigans or jumpers, and either a school beret or a hat (straw in summer, felt in winter).

Now you can learn some clothes in French! You could also describe what you are wearing: je porte… Or say what other people are wearing: il porte… elle porte…
